Story & Process
AdventureX 2026 was one of the most memorable hackathon experiences I have had in years. The event brought together 800+ selected builders in Hangzhou for five days of building, meeting people, and pushing ideas into working demos.
I joined a talented four-person team and built StarAligned, a Web3 social experience for turning online socialization into a more visual and meaningful relationship graph.
StarAligned lets people create a personal planet, discover their galaxy of communities, and form verified connections with other so-called planets. The idea is to make online socialization feel more spatial, personal, and community-driven.
The Web3 layer supports the relationship model behind those connections. Instead of treating blockchain as the visible center of the product, the product uses it as an underlying trust and connection layer for social interaction.
Our team won 3rd place in the Web3 track and also received the Bilibili Streaming Award.
This was my first time working on a Web3 project, which made the result especially meaningful. I learned quickly, contributed across product direction and execution, and helped the team turn a new domain into a presentable product within the hackathon window.
The event was intense. Over five days, I met builders from across China and around the world, including very young hackers, university builders, and more experienced people from industry. I ended up pulling two overnight sessions with no sleep because the team was pushing hard to ship.
What stayed with me most was the atmosphere: everyone was there to build, learn, and make new connections. It reminded me why hackathons matter. They are not just competitions. They are compressed environments for friendship, technical growth, and product instinct.
