Besneakers is an elite Italian sneaker manufacturer, specializing in meticulously crafted, made-in-Italy footwear. By mastering techniques such as vulcanization, Strobel construction, and board lasting, Besneakers maintains a high standard of excellence, supported by patented machinery and exceptional craftsmanship.
I worked as an AI engineer to build a 3D digital human shopping assistant for web and mobile. The goal was to create an AI agent that could speak with customers, understand their intent, and present products in a way that matches Besneakers' luxury brand.
Responsibilities
- Collaborated closely with the project founder to define and design the overall web and AI architecture, ensuring both innovation and practicality.
- Led collaboration with the 3D team and owned the AI modules required for the digital human, including speech-to-text (STT), natural language understanding (LLM), text-to-speech (TTS), and Audio2Face-based facial animation.
- Tuned the agent knowledge base and language behavior to support both English and Italian, enabling effective communication with Swiss and Italian business clients.
- Developed and refined MetaHuman animation sequences, switching between different animations depending on conversation context to keep interactions natural and fluid.
- Applied proprietary tools and workflows to keep the AI development process efficient and high-quality, continuously pushing product innovation.
- Regularly evaluated project progress and adjusted technical strategy to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with quality targets.
- Participated in cross-functional meetings to keep the technical roadmap aligned with brand positioning and market needs, strengthening overall product competitiveness.
- Kept up with the latest AI and 3D technology trends, providing forward-looking suggestions for Besneakers' product upgrades and technical evolution.
